  • Step 1 - Education & Due Diligence
    Complete a one page checklist. Refer to our Resource Libraries and Glossary Index for basic information.
  • Step 2 - Planning & Goals
    Use our industry specific templates to determine your goals. Do you want a certain level of certification? How energy efficient will the building be? Do you need funding sources? Who will monitor the results?
  • Step 3 - Implement a Green Team
    A key ingredient to project success is focus and commitment by team members. That requires a team leader --- a facilitator --- that's what we do best.

 

  -Funding Examples

Becasue of the importance of energy savings; locally, nationally and internationally, various funding and economic advantages may be available for your project. These help with initial capital requirements -- We already know your development will save money over the long term. Here's a sampling:

  • Site Development
    A good site choice and location can present cost saving opportunities. Taking advantage of current insurance and environmental procedures can positively impact your project. Our Green Team has compiled a package of information about the process.
  • Construction Incentives
    A number of funding packages are available for new construction and rennovating.
  • Solar Incentive Program
    Many utilities offer a solar incentive program for commercial systems.
  • Marinas
    Marinas have taken advantage of clean marina programs over the past years. Water Facility Funding, Solid Waste Grants, Recreation Development Assistance, Land & Water Conservation Funding, Recylcing Innovation Grants are examples of Florida state funds granted in the last ten years. See if your project qualifies for additional grant funding or other economic advantages using our Green Team Resources.
  • NonProfits
    Many non-profit organizations qualify for grants and specialized funding. See if the Green Team can partner and coordinate efforts with other community organizations to reach common goals.
